A data center had been proposed in a borough adjoining Frackville. A small portion of the adjoining borough extended north of a mountain. The data center was proposed for this area, far from where most borough residents live. So, from the perspective of borough leaders, it was a perfect site for a data center. However, our clients who lived next to the data center site were deeply troubled by this proposal and the apparent indifference of borough leaders to their concerns. Fortunately, one of the three borough leaders was replaced in a November election by a candidate who shared our clients’ concerns. The newly elected candidate along with another of the three borough leaders will likely nix the data center once they take office.
